A Lasting Contribution to Our Hostel’s Future
Upgrading the Royal College Hostel’s water system — a community effort ensuring reliability and well-being for generations.
Project Summary
Responding to a call from the Royal College Old Hostellers’ Association (ROCOHA), a group of ORANZ members, led by the initiative of Mr. Channa Ranasinghe, promptly contributed to vital upgrades of the Royal College Hostel’s senior section water supply system. The generous donation of Rs. 117,560.00 assisted in enhancing the hostel’s water storage capacity from 11,000 to 24,500 litres, elevating the overhead tanks to improve gravity pressure and introducing a fully automated pumping system.
These improvements have resulted in a long-lasting, reliable water supply that has greatly improved daily life for hostellers. This act of generosity underscores the enduring bond and shared commitment Royalists hold across generations, ensuring the well-being of our alma mater’s community.
